Stress

 
Why is there so much on my mind?
How do I balance it all?
I feel like just running away from it all.
I am tired just all the time.
There are times my mind feels like it is going to explode.Everybody wants everything all the time from me. 
Who will help me?
What is this thing called burn out?
Stop the world I want to get off.
 

Phil 4:6-7  Do not be anxious about anything, but in everything, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God. 7 And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.

1 Peter 5:6-7  Humble yourselves, therefore, under God's mighty hand, that he may lift you up in due time. 7 Cast all your anxiety on him because he cares for you.

John 10:10  I have come that they may have life, and have it to the full.

Eph 3:20  Now to him who is able to do immeasurably more than all we ask or imagine, according to his power that is at work within us

Matt 6:27,33-34  Who of you by worrying can add a single hour to his life? ... But seek first his kingdom and his righteousness, and all these things will be given to you as well. Therefore do not worry about tomorrow, for tomorrow will worry about itself. Each day has enough trouble of its own.

Heb 13:5-6  Keep your lives free from the love of money and be content with what you have, because God has said, "Never will I leave you; never will I forsake you."  So we say with confidence, "The Lord is my helper; I will not be afraid.  What can man do to me?"

James 1:5-6  If any of you lacks wisdom, he should ask God, who gives generously to all without finding fault, and it will be given to him. 6 But when he asks, he must believe

Matt 11:28-30  "Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest"

We have multiple demands of life just keep coming at us.  If we have gone through separation or divorce we have just compounded the expectations and costs.  We live in a rich nation with technology to help us, then why are we the most stressed.  Our prosperity has increased our stress by providing a myriad of great options to have to choose from, complicating life.  Sometimes our stress is of our own making, taking on way too much.  To say something is to be fired or thought of as strange or weak or even whining.  Not being able to share with someone increases the burden.  You've given it your best shot and now you are at a loss of what to do next.

Will I make it? 
Where will I get the strength to go on? 
 How do I balance it all?

  You can know you are loved and supported by one who can be closer than a brother.  You can access wisdom to set priorities and receive strength to work it all out.  Connect with a group of fellow sojourners to find support. 

Whatever your storm may be causing your stress Jesus Christ, who calmed the sea is inviting you to come and find rest in His harbor.
